Shirts
Of the common pull over style, carried over from the 18th Century.
Trousers
White with a narrow fall, made of linen. Winter trousers were blue in
color with red seams on the outside seam of the legs.
Vest
White in color, single breasted, linen for summer, wool for winter.
Coatee
1812 pattern, single breasted, body of the coat is blue with red collar,
cuffs, and white turnbacks. White lacing on front of coat, the collar,
and the cuffs. Buttons are of pewter with the script infantry I, 36 3⁄4”
and 2 1⁄2”, 38 buttons in all.
Footwear
Black shoes with black half-gaiters worn under the cuff of the trousers.
Head Gear
1813 pattern leather shako, with black and red feather plumes on the left
side with white cords. White metal plate in front.
Hunting Shirt
Linen, green in color with yellow trim at the single cape, cuffs, and
hem. Button up style reaching to mid thigh in length. |
