We are a War of 1812-1814 Re-enactment unit. We are one of ten companies that made up the 5th Regiment, Maryland Volunteer Infantry. Baltimore United Volunteers participated in the the Battle of Bladensburg and the Battle of North Point (The Battle of Baltimore.)

Today's Baltimore United Volunteers is a non-profit, tax exempt organization chartered in the State of Maryland. Our purpose is to bring history to life by recreating the soldiers of the War of 1812-1814. We are composed of men, women, boys, and girls from all walks of life who have at least one thing in common: a love of history and a genuine enjoyment in bringing it to life.

We depict the line of infantry of the period by wearing exact replica clothing and equipment, firing flintlock muskets, and performing authentic drills (using Baron Von Steuben's Drill Manual of 1794.)
